Death Takes Two Los Alamitos Men

LOS ALAMITOS — Death took two Los Alamitos men during the past week, both of whom had been here for many years.

James Watts, 86, of 10931 Chestnut, passed away Tuesday of last week with Mottel’s & Peek Mortuary handling the funeral arrangements, which were held at the Community Congregational Church of Los Alamits with Rev. H.A. Casebeer officiating.

Mr. Watts had been a resident of Los Alamtos since 1911 and was born in Illinois.  He was a life member of the Los Alamitos Chamber of Commerce and had been active in all civic affairs of the community.  He was a retired retail merchant.

Surviving are his wife. Mrs. Lu Myrtle Watts; two daughters, Mrs. Marian McClain. Fallon, Nevada; Mrs. Marjorie Galasher, Long Beach; and a brother, George Watts, of Anaheim.Interment was in Westminster Memorial Park;

JOHN G. KILLSTROM

John G. Killstrom, 77, of 3532 Howard, passed away Monday.  There will be graveside services today at Westmninster Memorial Park.  Pastor J.E. Rommemmein will officiate with Mottel’s & Peek mortuary inncharge of the funberal.

Mr. Killstrom had been a resident of Los Alamitos for 20 years, and had lived in California for 35 years.  He was born in Sweden.

Survivors are two daughters:  Mrs. Charlotte Paul, Anaheim and Mrs. Gladys Coleman, Long Beach; three sons, John F., Los Alamitos; George W. Maywood; and Sam H., Long Beach; ne sister, 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
