11 JUN 1954 – Enterprise, p8 — The graduation of the Los Alamitos School Eighth Grade will be held Friday of next week at 7:15p.m. on the terrace lawn of the new Los Alamitos School. There will be about 40 graduates.
The program will consists of a processional by Leo C. Donas, with the invocation and benediction by the Rev. Lawrence S, Jones, pastor of the Los Alamitos Community Congregational Church.
Marilyn Moore will give the “Welcome to Parents and Friends” and after other music, Kenny Otte will sing “I Believe.”
Ner Rathbuun, President of the Board of Trustees, will present the diplomas. An awards portion of the program will see presentations to the valedictorian, Jean Miller; salutatorian, An Harris; and historian, Jane Temple. The American Legion award and other honorary awards will be announced and presented at that time.
Guest speaker for the affair will be a graduate of the Class of 1914, who came out of the school and even 40 years ago, He is Irwin E. Heying.

Kenny Otte will Appear Tuesday on Finley’s Strictly Informal
Kenny notte, youthful high school singer who formerly lived in Los Alamitos, is scheduled to appear on Larryb Finley’s well-know TV show, “Strictly Informal” next week.
Date for the appearance of young Otte is Tuesday evening, Channel 11, from 9 to 10:30 p.m.
Otte has appeared on many of the leading radio and TV shows as a guestperformer and had his own television show in Las vegas for awhile. He also participated in the movie, the Eddie Cantor Story, as thevoice of Eddie Cantor as a boy.
Otte sang this week at the Anaheim Elks banquet for the Colonist gridders.

Ken Otte will be on TV Tonight
LOS ALAMITOS— Ken Otte, 16-year old professional singing star who has appeared on top radio and TV shows isnce he was ten, will appear on the Curt Masten TV show tonight on Channel 4.
It starts at 6:15. besides Ken as guest will be Martha Tilton. She and young Otte made a record for Decca six years ago called “I Wish I Wuz.”
